I am an Associate Professor of sociology at The Ohio State University. My research explores theoretical and substantive issues related to legitimacy, contemporary Turkey, contentious politics, and research methods. My work has appeared in leading journals including American Sociological Review, Journal of Politics, Social Forces, Social Networks, Social Problems, and Sociological Methods & Research. I am co-editor of Methodological Advances in Research on Social Movements, Conflict and Change (2023), and my book Regression Inside Out (co-authored with David Melamed and Ronald Breiger), was published by Cambridge University Press in 2024.
